The Armenian Genocide Remembrance day is celebrated on April 24 every year. On that day in 1915 hundreds Armenian intellectuals were arrested in Costantinopole under warrants issued by the Turkish authorities.
Remembrance day was first celebrated in 1965, on April 24 the 50 th anniverasary of the Armenian Genocide.
