IT News

In this week's apps gone free series, we are featuring 5 good educational apps that are free today and only for a limited period of time. Among these apps is the popular PDF converter app  that you can use to convert any document format (e.g., Word, Excel, web pages, photos etc) into high quality PDFs. The rest of the apps featured in this list include two math apps, Visual Math and Learn Math, a navigation app (Pocket Earth Pro), and a vocabulary app (Word Manager).

1- PDF Converter by Readdle
"Make PDFs from any file that you have on your iPad or iPhone. Save Word, Excel, Powerpoint or iWork documents, web pages, photos and even clipboard content as professional quality PDFs. Everything from a multi-million contract to a web page you want to read later can be saved as a PDF in just a few taps."

2- Pocket Earth Pro
This provides you with the following features: "detailed worldwide maps and travel guides; works completely offline even with GPS; great when abroad, no data roaming charges; online routing and much more!"

3- Visual Math 4D
"Visual Math 4D is a graphical calculator that allows you to visualize and solve your mathematical equations. It supports various types of equations, such as polar, spherical, parametric and implicit equations, which can be visualized and animated in 2D and 3D. You can also plot and animate vector fields in 2D and 3D."

4- Learn Math Facts
"Great for students practicing their math facts too - help students learn the basic facts, build fluency, and gain confidence. By the end of second grade, students should be fluent with all addition and subtraction facts. By the end of third grade, students should be fluent with facts in all four operations."

5- Word Manager
"With Word Manager, you can track the words that you don't know, select the definition that suits your context, and review the words when you're on the go. You can even get the pronunciation of the word through Word Manager."
