With the support of the ESCS Ministry, the “Selected Works and Songs” project was implemented as part of the jubilee events marking Avetik Isahakyan’s 150-th birth anniversary.

As part of the jubilee events, the international conference dedicated to the 150-th anniversary of Avetik Isahakyan’s birth concluded at the Avetik Isahakyan Memorial Museum in Gyumri, featuring scientific presentations, literary discussions, and theatrical readings, along with children’s, youth, and art platforms open to the public.

ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan and Deputy Minister Daniel Danielyan toured the museum and followed the progress of the conference.

Welcoming the attendees, Zhanna Andreasyan emphasized the significance of flexible approaches when initiating the anniversary year to showcase renowned artists across various methods and platforms, thereby keeping their legacy alive.

“By discussing the key ideas and messages of our great figures, the conference provides an opportunity to analyze, discuss, compare, and draw connections to contemporary times. I am pleased that museums are increasingly becoming spaces for live discussions, communication, and dialogue,” said the Minister, expressing her gratitude to the partners and wishing success to the conference participants.

As part of the “Selected Works and Songs” project, the “Isahakyan into Songs” concert also took place at the Theatre Square in Gyumri. The Gyumri State Orchestra of Folk Instruments performed works composed to Isahakyan’s words and specially arranged for the orchestra.

The project was implemented by the “I-Link” open platform for ideas educational and cultural non-governmental organization.
